About Swaytype
Swaytype is an AI keyboard for iPhone and Android that translates and polishes your messages while you type, in any app. You write in your own language, tap Translate, and the message goes out in theirs. When a reply comes back in a language you don’t read, you copy it and read it in yours, above your keys.
Who makes it
Swaytype is made by Enrico Carrasco, its founder, in the Netherlands. He is responsible for the app and everything on this site, including the guides. The app and swaytype.com are run by Enrico Carrasco Network, a sole trader registered in the Netherlands.
Since when
- On the App Store for iPhone since May 2026.
- On Google Play for Android since October 2026.
What it does
- Translate what you write, right in the text field, in WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram and every other app.
- Read replies in your language without leaving the chat.
- Improve fixes typos, grammar and punctuation in a Casual or Pro tone and keeps your voice.
The rewrites and translations are written by AI models from Anthropic and OpenAI. Swaytype is free with 10 rewrites a day, and Pro is unlimited.
Your messages
Only the text you tap Translate or Improve on leaves your phone, to be rewritten. It isn’t stored unless you opt in, and it’s never sold. The details are in the privacy policy.
