Delete your Swaytype account
You can delete your Swaytype account and the data linked to it at any time, on iPhone and on Android. You don’t need a paid plan or a linked Apple or Google account to do it.
In the app
This is the fastest way, and it works the same on iPhone and Android.
- Open Swaytype and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. If you never turned on “Sync across devices”, the button reads Delete my data.
- Confirm. Your account and its data are deleted right away.
Without the app
Email enricocarrasco1@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Swaytype account”. Send it from the Apple or Google email address you linked with “Sync across devices”, so we can find your account. If you picked “Hide My Email” when you signed in with Apple, add the relay address (you can see it in iOS Settings > your name > Sign in with Apple > Swaytype).
We delete the account within 30 days and reply when it’s done.
Never linked Apple or Google? Then your account has no name or email on it, so we can’t find it from your email address. Please use Delete my data in the app. If you no longer have the app, write to us anyway and we’ll work out with you how to find it.
Only want your saved rewrites gone?
Go to Settings > Privacy > Delete my saved rewrites. This keeps your account and removes every message we stored because you turned on “Help improve Swaytype”.
What gets deleted
- Your account: its random ID, your plan, and your email and name if you linked Apple or Google
- Saved rewrites from “Help improve Swaytype”, if you turned it on
- Your rewrite history and daily usage counts
- App usage events and setup progress
- Bug reports you sent from the app
- Invite codes and referral rewards
To also remove Swaytype from the list of apps connected to your Apple Account or Google Account, do that in your Apple or Google account settings.
What we keep
- Purchase records. Apple, Google Play and RevenueCat keep records of your purchases, as tax and refund rules require. This is also what lets Restore Purchases work if you come back.
- Crash reports in Sentry, until they expire (up to 90 days). They never contain your messages.
- Server logs for up to 30 days. They hold technical details only, never message text.
Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, because Apple and Google handle billing. Cancel it yourself so you are not charged again:
- iPhone: iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Swaytype.
- Android: the Play Store app > your profile picture > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions > Swaytype.
